What does DesignOps consist of?

DesignOps allows us to systematically manage people, processes, and various tools to assist with software design. Whether you’re a development team of one who contracts all of your design work to freelancers or a Fortune 500 company - DesignOps are a critical part of your software and business.

I just need UX/UI/product design - do you offer these services outside of DesignOps?

We absolutely do - but it’s important to look at these services in the context of DesignOps. We’ll create mockups for your next software project, but we’ll create processes around developer handoff, testing, and implementation that you’ll be able to use long after our initial engagement.

My organization already has a design team - is DesignOps for me?

Absolutely! DesignOps helps design teams (that may already exist) with improving processes, managing tools, saving time - and as a result, helping your bottom line. We work with teams that include junior, mid-level, or lead designers so that while they’re busy solving design challenges, we’re helping with the operations work.

How long does DesignOps take?

We recommend at least a 3-month effort - because DesignOps can be complex and change doesn’t happen overnight. The important thing is to understand your goals, and what you’re looking to improve (and what metrics you’re targeting). From there, we can provide a realistic DesignOps roadmap that can range from a couple of months to over a year.
